The Vonwik Court Case in Plain English: Who Sued, What the Judge Ordered
In one line: the people behind the original Vonwik were sued by the big studios, never showed up in court, and lost by default. The judge awarded $9 million and ordered the domains handed over. That is why vonwik.com stopped working in June 2026.
Who sued
Amazon, Netflix, Disney, Paramount and other members of the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE). The complaint was filed in March 2025 in the federal court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
Who was sued
One operator who had run IPTV brands since 2017: Beast Mode Live, BTV, Viking Media, GreenWing Media and, from late 2023, Vonwik with its Shrugs and Zing services. ACE had warned him in December 2023. He moved to a new domain instead of stopping.
What happened in court
